I assume many identities. Max-a-millionaire. The Indie-llectual. That guy with the beard.
This is my collection of observations and stories about life as an English teacher in Suwon, South Korea!
The meaning of “Korea to the Max” is twofold. One – I am here in a completely new chapter of life. I am young, excited, and hungry for all that is unfamiliar. I aim to make the most of this opportunity and live my time here in Korea… to the max.
Two – The Max is… me! What is Korea like, to the Max? What does he think of it? How does it affect him? Let’s find out.
In the beginning, I plan to lay out some of the basics of life in Korea so my Western friends and family can have an idea of what my daily experiences are like. After I’ve covered the basics, I’ll delve into some more academic topics, perhaps surveying the education system, gender roles, or even interviewing Korean nationals. Who’s to say? Let’s begin! 😀
